Four children, one crock of charms, hundreds of possibilities. Hannah, Josh, Immy and Ashton meet when their parents unite to restore an old house and reinvent it as a boutique hotel. While the adults work downstairs, the children find a mysterious treasure in the attic; a crock of charms. Each charm has a story as the children are about to discover.
In this second volume, the children return to the attic where the crock reveals even more stories that slowly exposes the past of the old house. Volume Two is ideal for mid-grade readers from 7 years of age and above.
The Eye of the Beholder was the first short story I wrote specifically for Prints Charming Books. The idea was to create a tale based on the charm allocated to us. My charm was a bronze peacock.
A beautiful peacock named, Kevin who used to live in my daughter’s school was my main source of inspiration. The children thought he was very special. I hope you think this story is, too.
These anthologies may be read separately or in order as the characters vary in age (from 4 – 14 years) and interests, just like their readers. A fascinating bridging story by Sally Odgers ties each contributor’s tale neatly together resulting in a spell binding adventure kids won’t want to come to dinner for.
